What does a green arrow signal mean?

You may proceed in the direction of the arrow, yielding to pedestrians and other traffic as required.

Green arrow means you have a protected turn in the direction of the arrow. You may proceed with that turn, but you must still yield to pedestrians and to any traffic already in the intersection or lawfully crossing. The signal gives you the right-of-way for that movement, but you can’t ignore people in crosswalks or vehicles that are in position to continue through the intersection.

Proceed straight ahead regardless of other traffic.

You must come to a complete stop before following the arrow.

Only proceed if no pedestrians are present.
